Metro Transit offers many options to fit the way you ride and how you want to pay. Tickets or tokens may be the best option for individuals and groups who are buying single-ride fares, going to special events or who do not ride frequently. Click the ticket name for purchase options.

Riding with DART is always a good value, but regular riders save even more. Payment options include MyDART mobile ticketing, cash, tokens and paper passes. If using cash, please bring the exact fare as bus operators cannot give change.

Children 12 and younger must ride with an adult. Full fare tokens are valued at $1.75, no change will be given. (Tokens must be purchased in packages of 10. Children ages 6-10 can purchase half-fare tokens.)

Metra tickets for any line may be purchased at the downtown stations or at outlying stations where a ticket agent is on duty. (Click here for a list of stations with agents.) On the Metra Electric Line, tickets at the busiest non-downtown stations are available through vending machines. All Metra tickets can also be purchased on your Apple or Android smartphone with the free Ventra app, available in the App Store or Google Play.

TRANSFERSTransfers are issued to provide service between two points not served by a single route. Transfers are free and are valid for the next bus to your destination at locations where routes intersect. Transfers are only issued at the time of boarding to customers who pay a fare or board with a Bloomington Transit ticket. Transfers are valid for one hour. Transfers may not be used for a return trip. Rural Transit accepts BT transfers and BT accepts Rural Transit transfers within an hour of issuance. 781b155fdc
